Powerstroke All In One Delete Kit
What Is a Powerstroke Delete Kit?
If you're driving a Powerstroke Ford F250 or F350—you've likely come across the term Powerstroke delete kit. But what does it actually mean?
A Powerstroke delete kit is a bundle of parts designed to remove or bypass emissions control systems such as the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) system, and EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve. These systems are installed to meet federal emissions regulations but can restrict engine performance and lead to long-term reliability issues, especially for trucks used in heavy towing or off-road applications.
A typical 6.7 Powerstroke delete kit for a Ford F-Series Super Duty may include a stainless steel DPF delete pipe, EGR block-off plates, coolant bypass hoses, and a delete tuner to disable the sensors and prevent engine codes. These kits are built to free up horsepower, improve fuel economy, and reduce maintenance costs.

Top 5 Benefits of a 6.7 Powerstroke Delete Kit
Installing a 6.7 Powerstroke delete kit is one of the most effective upgrades for unlocking your diesel engine’s true potential. By removing restrictive emissions systems like the DPF, EGR, DEF, and CCV, you allow the engine to operate more freely and efficiently.
Here are the top five reasons why owners choose to delete:
1. Improved Horsepower and Torque
With reduced exhaust backpressure, your 6.7 Powerstroke engine breathes better. This leads to quicker throttle response, stronger towing power, and a more satisfying driving experience.
2. Increased Fuel Efficiency
Eliminating the DPF regeneration process and DEF injection system often results in fuel savings. Many 6.7 Powerstroke drivers report noticeable MPG gains during highway and load-heavy driving.
3. Cleaner Engine Operation
The 6.7 Powerstroke EGR system often causes carbon buildup inside the intake manifold. A delete kit helps keep your engine internals cleaner, reducing the chances of long-term wear or clogging.
4. Lower Maintenance Costs
No more replacing clogged EGR valves, faulty DPF sensors, or refilling DEF fluid. Once deleted, your engine becomes easier and cheaper to maintain.
5. Greater Tuning Flexibility
A 6.7 Powerstroke delete kit opens the door to performance tuning. Pair it with a compatible tuner to optimize your engine for power, reliability, or off-road performance. With fewer emissions restrictions and cleaner airflow, your Powerstroke runs cooler, pulls harder, and lasts longer—exactly what diesel owners are looking for.
Is a Powerstroke Delete Kit Legal? What You Need to Know Before Installing
While a Powerstroke delete kit can significantly improve your engine’s performance and reliability, it’s important to understand the legal implications before installing one. In the U.S. and Canada, most on-road vehicles—especially those equipped with DPF, EGR, and DEF systems—are subject to strict emissions regulations.
Installing a Powerstroke delete kit on a street-registered vehicle may violate emissions laws.
Powerstroke Delete Kits Are Intended for the Following Use Cases:
- Off-road use only (e.g., racing, farming, or private land)
- Non-registered vehicles that don't undergo emissions testing
- Engine testing or custom tuning environments
All SPELAB Powerstroke delete kits are clearly labeled as “For Off-Road Use Only.” We strongly recommend checking your local emissions laws before purchasing or installing a kit. For example, states like California and New York have some of the strictest emissions rules, and any emissions tampering—even for performance purposes—may result in serious penalties.
Some drivers choose to pair Powerstroke delete kits with a delete tuner to bypass emissions sensors. While this may temporarily avoid warning lights or check engine codes, it’s not a legal solution for on-road driving and may void warranties or fail in future updates.
Always research your local laws and ensure your vehicle use case qualifies as off-road. Staying compliant means enjoying your upgrades with peace of mind.

FAQ
Q1: Will I get a check engine light after installing a delete kit on my 2017 F250?
No. When paired with a proper delete tuner, the SPELAB delete kit disables the sensors tied to your DPF, EGR, and DEF systems, preventing check engine lights (CEL) or ECU errors.
Q2: Will a delete kit improve fuel economy?
Yes. Many drivers report fuel savings of 1–2 MPG after installing a Powerstroke delete kit. The difference is especially noticeable during highway cruising or when towing heavy loads.
Q3: Can I install the delete kit myself?
Absolutely. Every SPELAB kit comes with detailed instructions, gaskets, bolts, and pre-fitted sensor ports—making it ideal for DIY installs if you have basic mechanical skills.
Q4: Will installing a delete kit cause inspection or registration issues?
If your area enforces emissions regulations, removing the DPF or EGR system may cause your vehicle to fail inspection. All SPELAB kits are marked “For Off-Road Use Only,” and should be used in legal, non-registered applications.
Q5: Can I use a delete kit with a tuner?
Definitely. We recommend pairing your kit with a delete tuner, which not only disables emissions systems but also unlocks performance tuning options to help your Powerstroke engine reach its full potential.

Installed CCV catch can kit for a 2016 Ford F250 very easy to install so far no issues would recommend/seems to be very good quality/
The parts were packaged well and customer service was amazing. The instructions were super easy to follow and overall layout of the kit made the install go like a breeze. I only took three hours to install the kit and I’ve hadn’t had a single problem with it. You can hear a difference in the truck and the mileage has gone up. I would recommend this kit.
Perfect fit, very happy with my purchase
Everything is super high quality, and the absolute best price is could find if i had to complain about anything it would be the exhaust tip I wish the flange for the clamp was .1 longer to get a socket on it.
Product looks good and bolted on with ease. I used the factor fill hole for the first fill and it aligned perfectly with the ball floating in the middle of the sight glass. In the future I can just top fill and use the glass as the gauge. Very happy with it so far!
My spec lab EGR delete kit has been absolutely amazing. It was fast and easy to install and keep my truck running 5° cooler.
The installation went great just to remove the 2024 gmc cover vent you need a t40 bit and to hammer it in to get the security screws out. Love the look and over all installation God Bless.
Shipping was fast an parts fit perfect
Easy to install. Data from before and after shows a large gain in airflow. MPG did get slightly better. Only recommendation for SPELAB is that they polish the inside of the horn to keep soot from collecting on non EGR deleted vehicles.
It was easy to install did not come with instructions but i did watch a YouTube video and was done pretty quick.
Amazing craftsmanship for the price, only beef is it could be powder coated a little higher where the cap goes on an maybe a little bit nicer of a cap but overall 5/5, very impressed.
Well, made in a good price no complaints
Kit was complete every thing lined up and I do have more power and better mpg. Customer service helped when FedEx wasn’t delivering once customer service called them. I received the parts in two days.
Super easy install everything needed was included looks amazing
After adding mine to the car, it looks fantastic. Blends in with the engine bay and doesn't look terrible with the plastic OEM one. It was easy to swap out. The only issue I have is that there is no actual cold marker on the reservoir so I had refilled as the instructions said and it pushed the extra into the overflow tank and it is now overfilled and leaking. I also think having a mount for the batter cable to reattach would be good so the cable isn't laying against the tank would be great. Outside of that it looks great and so far haven't seen any over heating issues.
