Powerstroke CCV
If you drive a 2011–2024 Ford F250, F350, or F450 with a 6.7L Powerstroke engine, keeping your CCV (Crankcase Ventilation) system in top shape is crucial to long-term performance. The factory CCV system on 6.7 Powerstroke trucks recirculates oil vapor into the intake, which over time leads to clogged sensors, gummed-up intercooler piping, and reduced turbo efficiency. That’s why diesel owners are turning to SPELAB’s 6.7 Powerstroke CCV delete kits and reroute systems—to eliminate these problems for good. Whether you're commuting daily or towing heavy loads, upgrading your Powerstroke CCV system helps keep your intake clean and combustion strong.
Why the Factory CCV System Fails on the 6.7 Powerstroke
From the 2015 Ford F350 6.7L Powerstroke to the 2022 F250 Super Duty, the factory-installed CCV system prioritizes emissions compliance over long-term performance. However, as miles accumulate, this design reveals several critical flaws.
One major issue lies in the CCV filter on a 6.7 Powerstroke. As the filter becomes saturated with oil mist, internal crankcase pressure begins to rise. This can lead to oil being forced past turbo seals, valve cover gaskets, and intercooler connections—resulting in oil leaks, power loss, and costly repairs.
In addition, the recycled blow-by gases re-enter the intake system, coating the MAP and IAT sensors with oily residue. Over time, this contamination reduces airflow efficiency, raises exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs), and increases the risk of carbon buildup—especially on trucks equipped with EGR systems.
Upgrading to a 6.7 Powerstroke CCV delete kit or reroute system solves these problems by redirecting oil vapor away from the intake and maintaining stable pressure levels inside the crankcase.

Legal Notice and Maintenance Tips for 6.7 Powerstroke CCV Delete Kits
Before installing a CCV delete kit on your 6.7 Powerstroke, it’s important to understand local emissions regulations. In many U.S. states, removing or bypassing emissions-related components—including the factory CCV system—is not legal for on-road use. These kits are typically intended for off-road, race, or competition vehicles only.
That said, proper use and maintenance of your 6.7 Powerstroke CCV reroute system can offer long-term benefits:
-
Check your catch can every 3,000–5,000 miles and drain if necessary
-
Ensure hoses and fittings remain secure, especially under boost
-
Clean or replace your breather filter periodically (for open systems)
-
No ECU tuning is required after installation, making setup simple for most trucks
Using a CCV delete 6.7 Powerstroke kit responsibly ensures your engine stays clean and efficient—especially when paired with other airflow upgrades like EGR or intake elbow deletes.

Frequently Asked Questions: 6.7 Powerstroke CCV Delete
Q: Does a 6.7 Powerstroke CCV delete require custom tuning?
A: No. SPELAB's CCV reroute kits are designed to work seamlessly with your factory ECU. You will not need custom tuning, and it will not throw a Check Engine Light (CEL) when installed correctly.
Q: Do I really need a catch can with my CCV reroute?
A: It depends on how you use your truck. If you regularly tow heavy loads, live in a hot climate, or have a high-mileage engine, we highly recommend the Internal + External Catch Can Combo to trap excess oil mist. For standard daily driving, the basic reroute or internal catch can is usually sufficient.
Q: How often should I drain the external catch can?
A: We recommend checking and draining the external catch can every 3,000 to 5,000 miles—typically during your regular oil change intervals. In colder climates or during heavy towing seasons, condensation builds up faster, so you may need to check it more frequently.
Q: Will this void my warranty or fail emissions?
A: Bypassing or removing factory emissions equipment, including the CCV system, is strictly intended for off-road or race use. Depending on your local and state laws, a deleted truck may not pass emissions testing. Furthermore, modifying emissions components can potentially affect your manufacturer's warranty. Always check your local regulations before installing.

Installed CCV catch can kit for a 2016 Ford F250 very easy to install so far no issues would recommend/seems to be very good quality/
The parts were packaged well and customer service was amazing. The instructions were super easy to follow and overall layout of the kit made the install go like a breeze. I only took three hours to install the kit and I’ve hadn’t had a single problem with it. You can hear a difference in the truck and the mileage has gone up. I would recommend this kit.
Perfect fit, very happy with my purchase
Everything is super high quality, and the absolute best price is could find if i had to complain about anything it would be the exhaust tip I wish the flange for the clamp was .1 longer to get a socket on it.
Product looks good and bolted on with ease. I used the factor fill hole for the first fill and it aligned perfectly with the ball floating in the middle of the sight glass. In the future I can just top fill and use the glass as the gauge. Very happy with it so far!
My spec lab EGR delete kit has been absolutely amazing. It was fast and easy to install and keep my truck running 5° cooler.
The installation went great just to remove the 2024 gmc cover vent you need a t40 bit and to hammer it in to get the security screws out. Love the look and over all installation God Bless.
Shipping was fast an parts fit perfect
Easy to install. Data from before and after shows a large gain in airflow. MPG did get slightly better. Only recommendation for SPELAB is that they polish the inside of the horn to keep soot from collecting on non EGR deleted vehicles.
It was easy to install did not come with instructions but i did watch a YouTube video and was done pretty quick.
Amazing craftsmanship for the price, only beef is it could be powder coated a little higher where the cap goes on an maybe a little bit nicer of a cap but overall 5/5, very impressed.
Well, made in a good price no complaints
Kit was complete every thing lined up and I do have more power and better mpg. Customer service helped when FedEx wasn’t delivering once customer service called them. I received the parts in two days.
Super easy install everything needed was included looks amazing
After adding mine to the car, it looks fantastic. Blends in with the engine bay and doesn't look terrible with the plastic OEM one. It was easy to swap out. The only issue I have is that there is no actual cold marker on the reservoir so I had refilled as the instructions said and it pushed the extra into the overflow tank and it is now overfilled and leaking. I also think having a mount for the batter cable to reattach would be good so the cable isn't laying against the tank would be great. Outside of that it looks great and so far haven't seen any over heating issues.
