A transfer case shift motor, also known as a transfer case actuator or transfer case motor, is a component found in four-wheel drive (4WD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicles equipped with a transfer case. The transfer case is a critical part of the drivetrain that allows power to be distributed to both the front and rear axles, enabling the vehicle to operate in 2WD (two-wheel drive) or 4WD (four-wheel drive) mode as needed.
