Leveling Kit FAQs

2.5 inches is the figure that generally clears 35x12.50 tires on a 2011-2022 Super Duty. Wheel choice matters as much as lift height - offset and backspacing move the tire within the arch, and some wheel and tire combinations still need minor trimming of the inner liner. Measure the wheel you plan to run before assuming a tire size fits.

On a solid-axle 4WD truck, yes - it is worth insisting on. Lifting the frame away from the axle makes the track bar swing through an arc, which pulls the axle sideways and leaves it off-center. The relocation bracket drops the frame-side mounting point to restore the factory bar angle, keeping the axle centered and preventing bump steer and uneven tire wear.

Not this one. This leveling kit is built for 2011-2022 F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty 4WD models, because it is designed around the solid front axle and its track bar - hardware a 2WD truck does not have. Check drivetrain before ordering, since 2WD and 4WD Super Duties look identical from the outside.

Yes, payload and towing capacity are set by the axle, springs and brakes, none of which a leveling kit changes - it retains the factory coil springs and leaves the ride stock. What it does change is rake: with the front raised, a heavy trailer or a loaded bed will make the rear sit lower than it used to. If you tow heavy regularly, plan on rear support such as airbags.

Both come down to specifics. Several states regulate frame and bumper height, so check your local rules before lifting. On warranty, a suspension modification does not void coverage on the whole vehicle - under US law a claim can only be denied where the modification is shown to have caused the failure, though related parts such as suspension or steering components are where disputes usually arise.
