Real-World Power Gains: Turn Every Drop of Diesel into Measurable Performance
Many owners of the 2011–2019 Ford F-250/F-350 6.7L Powerstroke report noticeably faster throttle response after upgrading from stock. In third-party dyno tests, SPELAB’s Cold Air Intake Kit combined with upgraded Intercooler Pipes delivered up to +10 horsepower and 6% more torque. Intake air temperature also dropped by an average of 10–15°F under highway driving—greatly benefiting turbo longevity and overall engine health.
For older models like the 2003–2007 Ford F-250 6.0L Powerstroke, the stock hot-side pipe is known as a weak point. SPELAB’s reinforced hot-side pipe paired with our cold air intake improves boost efficiency and virtually eliminates turbo lag. These upgrades are ideal for tuned trucks, aftermarket turbo installs, or anyone regularly towing heavy loads.
You might not see horsepower numbers flashing on your dashboard—but you’ll definitely feel smoother acceleration, more consistent torque, and more confident uphill performance when towing or hauling. These gains aren’t just numbers—they’re noticeable changes in your daily drive.
Built to Last – Quality Materials, Proven Craftsmanship
For models like the 2008–2010 Ford F-350 6.4L Powerstroke and 1999–2003 F-250 7.3L Powerstroke, durability under heat and pressure is a major concern. Every Powerstroke Air Intake Kit from SPELAB is built with premium materials and tested craftsmanship to not just enhance performance—but ensure long-term reliability and resilience.
We use aerospace-grade aluminum for our intake pipes—lightweight yet extremely corrosion-resistant. The exterior is treated with either a black powder coat or durable heat-resistant paint. For Intercooler Pipes, reinforced stainless steel with precision welds ensures high airflow efficiency and crack resistance, even under extreme boost.
Our Heat Shield kits use cold-rolled steel plates finished with heat-insulated coating to keep under-hood temperatures out of your intake stream. This is critical for maintaining cool airflow—and it’s one reason 6.7L Powerstroke off-roaders and tuners trust SPELAB in the harshest environments.
From materials to welds, every detail in a SPELAB Powerstroke intake component is engineered with professional-grade intent—because you deserve an intake system you can trust.

This is a really nice set up inexpensive but well-made. Make sure you use 1/4 inch drive and torque wrench, if you get the half socket 10mm and multi size extensions even better it’ll make getting those two back bolts easy
Makes truck breathe better and will definitely blow your y bridge out so do that while you’re in there looks great and fits up pretty good not perfect
Installed this SPELAB EGR Throttle Valve Delete on my 6.7 Cummins and the fitment was perfect. The kit was well made, installation was straightforward, and all the necessary parts were included. Everything lined up as it should and the truck runs great. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality replacement component.
I originally had the Banks Monster Ram intake with grid heater delete, and costed $1200. Recently I decided to give Spelab a try for their 3.5” pusher style intake with grid heater delete. Fraction of the price and performs the same. Only regret I have was my purchase of Banks.
Great product

Great solid parts. Install was relatively easy and the kit looks amazing. Going to buy another kit for my 24 Duramax soon.
Powerstroke Air Intake Kit FAQS
Yes. Cold air intakes lower intake air temperature (IAT) by 10–15°F and add up to 10 HP on the 6.0L and 6.7L Powerstroke when combined with a tune. The biggest gains come from eliminating the restrictive factory airbox. On the 7.3L, the improvement is more incremental—mainly better throttle response and spool. For maximum gains, pair the intake with an intercooler pipe upgrade and delete tune.
A cold air intake noticeably changes the turbo inlet sound—you'll hear a stronger whoosh and whistle under boost. It does not make the truck drone or crackle like an exhaust delete would. If you want the loudest possible sound, an intake alone won't deliver that. A straight-pipe exhaust is the real audio upgrade; the intake is primarily a performance and response upgrade.
The heat shield version reflects radiant engine bay heat away from the filter, keeping intake air cooler under heavy loads. On the 6.4L Powerstroke—known for high under-hood temperatures—this difference is most noticeable. Standard intakes work fine for highway driving; the heat shield version is worth it for trucks doing sustained towing, off-road, or hot-climate driving.
All SPELAB Powerstroke intakes are bolt-on with no welding or cutting required. The kit includes model-specific silicone couplers, stainless T-bolt clamps, and a powder-coated box that mounts to the factory location. Install time is 30–60 minutes with basic hand tools. Detailed step-by-step videos are available for each model year on the SPELAB YouTube channel.
SPELAB offers direct-fit cold air intakes for every Powerstroke generation: 1999–2003 7.3L, 2003–2007 6.0L, 2008–2010 6.4L, 2011–2016 6.7L, and 2017–2019 6.7L. The 4" intake for 2003–2007 6.0L handles the highest airflow demand. Always confirm your engine displacement and year range before ordering—some model years overlap in the same bracket.
