2. Essential Performance Upgrades for 1999.5-2003 7.3L Powerstroke
Upgrading your 7.3L Powerstroke with the right performance parts can significantly enhance your truck's power and efficiency. Let's start by looking at two key components: the Cold Air Intake Kit and the Non-EBP Valve Kit. These upgrades are designed to optimize airflow and exhaust performance, ensuring your engine runs at its best.
Cold Air Intake Kit
The Cold Air Intake Kit is an essential upgrade for your 7.3L Powerstroke. It increases the amount of cool, dense air entering the engine, which improves combustion efficiency. This results in more power and better fuel economy. Installing a Cold Air Intake Kit is straightforward, and it's one of the quickest ways to see noticeable performance gains.
Installation Tips: Ensure all connections are secure and follow the manufacturer's guidelines closely. Proper installation will maximize the benefits of this upgrade.
Non-EBP Valve Kit
The Non-EBP Valve Kit is another crucial component for improving your 7.3L Powerstroke. This kit helps reduce exhaust backpressure, allowing your engine to breathe easier. By eliminating the Exhaust Backpressure (EBP) valve, you can prevent potential clogging and boost overall exhaust flow. This leads to better throttle response and enhanced engine performance.
Compatibility: This kit is specifically designed for 1999.5-2003 7.3L Powerstroke engines. Make sure your vehicle is compatible before purchasing to avoid installation issues.

3. Advanced Fuel System Components for 7.3L Powerstroke
Upgrading the fuel system of your 1999.5-2003 7.3L Powerstroke is crucial for maintaining consistent performance, especially under heavy loads. Let's explore two essential components: the Fuel Injector Sleeve Cup Removal Installer Kit and the Fuel Tank Sump. These parts ensure that your engine receives a steady, reliable fuel supply, helping to prevent common issues like fuel starvation and injector failure.
Fuel Injector Sleeve Cup Removal Installer Kit
The Fuel Injector Sleeve Cup Removal Installer Kit is a must-have for any 7.3L Powerstroke owner. Over time, injector sleeves can wear out, leading to leaks and reduced fuel efficiency. This kit allows you to remove and replace the injector sleeves easily, ensuring a proper seal and optimal fuel flow. Regular maintenance with this tool can prevent costly repairs down the road.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide: Begin by removing the valve cover, then follow the detailed instructions to replace the injector sleeves. Always use the correct torque settings to avoid damaging the components.
Fuel Tank Sump
The Fuel Tank Sump is designed to improve fuel delivery by ensuring that your engine always has access to the fuel it needs, even at low levels. This is particularly important for trucks that operate in extreme conditions or carry heavy loads. The sump draws fuel from the bottom of the tank, reducing the risk of fuel starvation and helping maintain consistent engine performance.
Installation and Maintenance Tips: When installing a fuel tank sump, ensure that the tank is clean and free of debris. Regularly check the sump for any signs of wear or damage to maintain optimal performance.
Now that you've upgraded your fuel system, it's time to focus on engine protection. Click to learn more about oil catch cans and high-performance fuel pumps for your 7.3L Powerstroke.
4. Engine Protection and Longevity Enhancements
Protecting your engine is essential for ensuring the longevity and reliability of your 1999.5-2003 7.3L Powerstroke. By investing in key components like an Oil Catch Can and a high-performance Fuel Pump, you can significantly reduce engine wear and improve overall performance. These upgrades are designed to keep your engine running smoothly, even under the most demanding conditions.
Oil Catch Can
The Oil Catch Can is a vital component for maintaining a clean and efficient engine. It works by trapping oil vapors and contaminants before they can enter the intake system, which helps reduce carbon buildup on the intake valves and inside the engine. This not only improves performance but also extends the life of your engine. Installing an Oil Catch Can is a simple yet effective way to protect your investment.
Choosing the Right Oil Catch Can: When selecting an Oil Catch Can, ensure it's compatible with your 7.3L Powerstroke. Look for a model that offers easy installation and maintenance features, such as a removable drain valve.
Fuel Pump
A high-performance Fuel Pump is essential for maintaining consistent fuel pressure, especially in high-demand situations. Upgrading your fuel pump ensures that your 7.3L Powerstroke receives the fuel it needs to operate efficiently, even when towing heavy loads or driving in extreme conditions. A reliable fuel pump helps prevent fuel delivery issues, which can lead to engine misfires and reduced performance.
Installation Considerations: Ensure the fuel pump is properly aligned and securely mounted during installation. Regularly check the fuel lines and connections to prevent leaks and maintain optimal performance.

These guys are great. They have fast shipping and their product is great. I wish they had more parts for my truck but they cant make them all i suppose. They added quite a bit of HP to my build. It turned out great
Best investment i bought and proud to have from SPELAB
Instructions were great, could
Be more detailed but overall great product, install wasn’t bad at all, unfortunately snapped oil dipstick tube following instructions but other than that I would say the plugs in the intake could’ve been put in prior rather than leaving room for install error
Very nice
Good products great pricing
Works great, find out how to wire it on YouTube if you aren’t sure, super easy though only two wires
this 2017 3500 Ram with now 111274 miles was used by PO to pull 5th wheel and now it pulls a 30 ft airstream TT.. I change out fluid at 96K with OEM cover and started looking for replacement.. this is great with magnetic drain plugs which is a great help as we change out oil every 35K miles as we tow a lot..
This new alum cover with fins is much like the AAM unit used on teh HO engines from factory with not quite the amount of and placement of fins but in the end this accomplished the goal of keeping the fluid cooler especially when towing.
One thing i did notice was the no actual instruction on what was proper level of oil in sight glass.. Usually on OEM cover you fill till the oil dribbles out the fill plug on cover and that if good..
on this model I noticed the sight glass was lower than the OEM plug determining the level need to be not the middle of the sight glass but at the TOP of the sight glass.. just saying.. the inside has fluid diversion fins so help move the oil to ponion gear and the side bearing on housing..
The fit and finish are great and it looks super cool now in the alum color.. I though about spray painting and sanding the edge of the fins to have that nice contrast but left it silver.
highly recommend and the price is right..
Order came in a few days earlier than the expected delivery day pretty easy install it makes the engine may look a lot better
I purchased a pair of Spelab Electric Cutouts for my BMW. Everything in the kit was shipped quickly, was perfectly packaged and the quality of their product is top notch. I installed the cutouts and I couldn't happier with the way they work. I was even able to pair the remote to the Homelink buttons to open and close the valves.
Hoping to gain a sponsorship soon I use yalls parts on my personal build and customers builds
Very good quality kit and was easy to install!! I highly recommend it!!
Excellent quality product that definitely delivers a difference in throttle response. You can tell that the engine is breathing much better. I highly recommend this to everyone out there. Shipping was fast too!! And to top it off, the dreaded engine killing grid heater plate is gone for good! Look how bad the grid heater was after only 46,000 mi. You can barely see thru the grids. Ridiculous design by Cummins/Ram. They should be ashamed for putting that piece of junk on such a good engine. Next up, turbo tubes!
Fit my 08 6.4 extended cab just fine. Sounds great with a 5x7 tip
I have always used there products and customers always are happy
