SPELAB's latest waste oil treatment solution aims to optimize efficiency and prevent oil leaks, enhancing truck performance and safeguarding critical components. Gas is collected through an oil catch can to gather waste oil, then filtered through a reservoir to remove excess oil before being routed clean through the CCV/PCV Reroute kit, ensuring 100% capture of oil molecules in the vented gases. This process guarantees that expelled gases are oil-free. By preventing residual oil from reaching the turbocharger, it extends its lifespan by maintaining the balance of the compressor impeller. Additionally, it prevents oil buildup in intake and intercooler pipes, thus preserving performance.
CCV Internal Catch Can Benefits:
Removes oil molecules. The SPELAB CCV Internal Catch Can (ICC) is designed to remove oil molecules from the crankcase vent vapor while utilizing the void internal to the 6.7 Powerstroke valve cover converting it to function as a catch can. This part gives the customer all the benefits of a catch can with none of the downfalls. Unlike other catch cans that require external mounting or necessary draining, the SPELAB CCV ICC requires neither. With the SPELAB CCV ICC, there is a notch cut in the baffle so when positive pressure is released (ex. the vehicles are turned off) the oil can drain back to the pan. This creates a no-maintenance design with all of the positives of a catch can.
Engineered Design. The SPELAB CCV Internal Catch Can was carefully designed to ensure minimal pressure drop across the baffles. See Figures 1 & 2 for more details. This allowed for basically no restriction in airflow while still filtering the oil from the vapor. This also helps greatly in diminishing smell and oil droplets.
Perfectly designed. It was also taken into consideration that some customers may have another brand CCV reroute kit on their vehicle. The SPELAB CCV Internal Catch Can was designed to work with almost all kits on the market, although its design and flange shape does complement the SPELAB CCV reroute kit the best. The SPELAB CCV ICC is a great option for high-performance applications with high crankcase output/ flow or customers who just want to reduce smell or vapor output.

Overall, great kit. Wish I would have ordered the can bus plugs at the same time. A few modifications were needed to make everything work but nothing too difficult if you can tackle this type of work to begin with.
With my old kit that kept leaking, an abnormal seal size and changed colors as the plastic got warm. I installed the Spelab kit and fits good and have the reassurance of the locking ring to keep it in.
