CP4 Disaster Prevention Kit for 2011–2025 6.7L Powerstroke

The CP4 Disaster Prevention Kit is designed to protect the entire high-pressure fuel system of your 2011–2025 Ford Super Duty 6.7L Powerstroke in the event of a CP4 pump failure.

By rerouting the CP4 pump’s return fuel through a dedicated high-efficiency filter before it returns to the fuel tank, the kit prevents harmful metal debris and contaminants from reaching the injectors, fuel rails, and lines—saving thousands in potential repair costs.

Fitment

  • 2011–2025 Ford Super Duty 6.7L Powerstroke

Key Features

  • Comprehensive Protection
Prevents metal shavings and debris from contaminating injectors, rails, lines, and the tank in case of CP4 pump failure.

  • Bypass Block Design
CNC-machined aluminum with a metal ball seal (no threads), eliminating the risk of metal shavings.

  • High-Efficiency Filtration
    9-micron filter
with 99% efficiency ensures clean fuel return, protecting downstream components.

  • OE-Style Fuel Lines
Quick-connect design eliminates cutting of factory lines, reduces contamination risk, and simplifies installation.

  • Durable Fuel Hoses
Rated for 350 PSI working pressure and 700 PSI burst pressure.

  • Service-Friendly
Spin-on filter design makes filter replacement quick and easy.

  • Wide Compatibility
Fits all 2011–2025 Ford Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Powerstroke engine.

  • Why Choose This Kit?
Without protection, a CP4 failure can contaminate the entire high-pressure fuel system—leading to repair bills exceeding $10,000. This prevention kit offers a cost-effective safeguard, ensuring that your Powerstroke stays reliable whether you tow, haul, or daily drive.

Best For

  • 2011–2025 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Owners: A preventive upgrade for F250, F350, F450, and F550 trucks equipped with the CP4 fuel pump.
  • Long-Term Truck Owners: Ideal for owners who plan to keep their Super Duty for years and want added protection against expensive fuel-system damage.
  • Towing and Hauling Trucks: Useful for work trucks, tow rigs, and heavy-use diesel builds where fuel-system reliability matters under load.
  • Daily-Driven Powerstroke Trucks: A smart safeguard for stock or lightly modified trucks that still face CP4 pump failure risk.
  • Owners Worried About CP4 Failure: Helps reduce the chance of metal debris spreading through injectors, rails, fuel lines, and the tank if the pump fails.
  • Preventive Maintenance Builds: Best installed before any CP4 failure symptoms appear, while the fuel system is still clean.

Very good quality and no figment issues is just like the s&s disaster kit

It works great. Needs better hose clamps.

Honestly thought the kit was over all same as s&s but cheaper. Would have liked the crimped fittings already in place instead of the hose clamps but it is over all a nice kit

Decent quality

Instructions could have been better, but there’s enough videos online to help you along so all in all I would recommend this kit

I am looking at the CP4 bypass/disaster kit for my 2012 Ford F250/6.7 truck. Trying to understand the routing. If the kit filters the "RETURN" fuel to 9 microns, isn't that after the injectors receive the fuel from the CP4 pump?
I like the 9 micron filter over a 20 micron screen as I read that debris or particles less than 10 microns will damage engine/injectors.
Does your kit filter fuel to 9 microns before the injectors receive fuel?

Respectfully,
AlaskaBill

SPELAB

Thank you for your detailed question — you are absolutely correct that very fine particles (under 10 microns) can cause serious damage to injectors and fuel system components.
To clarify how our CP4 bypass/disaster prevention kit works:
The 9-micron filter in this kit is installed on the return (low-pressure) side of the system, not on the supply side going to the injectors.
This means:
Fuel going from the CP4 pump to the injectors is not filtered by this 9-micron filter
Instead, the filter is used to capture metal debris after it leaves the CP4 pump and before it returns to the fuel tank
The purpose of the kit is not to pre-filter fuel before it reaches the injectors, but to:
Prevent contamination from a failing CP4 pump from circulating back into the tank
Protect the rest of the fuel system (injectors, rails, lines, tank) from widespread damage
Without a bypass system, a CP4 failure can send metal debris throughout the entire system, often resulting in very costly repairs.
With the bypass system installed, debris is redirected and filtered before it can spread.
If you are specifically looking for finer filtration before the injectors, that would require an upgraded supply-side filtration system, which is separate from a CP4 disaster prevention kit.
