Great looking lower oil pan

Have not installed it yet, but it’s definitely a beefier looking oil pan than stock. Cannot wait until I have time.

very good oil pan, no more leaks

Factory stamped pan started leaking and tightening just wasnt working so i ordered this cast pan for two reasons! very thick lip that ensures uniform flat seal and it uses a fiber gasket which I coated both sides with Permatex copper gasket spray and nor more leaks and no worries about it warping! Highly recommend!

2012 Ford F250 oil pan

The oil pan itself is very well built. The only problem I had was the gasket that was supplied was creased, so I was unable to use it.

What kind of motor oil temp drops are you seeing with this pan? I tow 22k with my 22' SD and am a little tired of seeing 230-240 oil temps. Thanks.

SPELAB

Thank you for your inquiry.
Decrease in steady-state engine oil temperature: 8–15°F
Long-term real-world measurements by most car owners generally cluster around 10°F.
Under extreme conditions, such as long uphill gradients or high temperatures, the upper limit occasionally reaches 15°F; on flat, straight roads at a constant speed, the decrease is typically only 6–10°F.

Why is there pictures of an oil pan with external fins if neither the v2 nor the original have external fins? Or which one has external fins?

I would like to order the oil pan with the external fins. Which one is that? V2 or original.

SPELAB

Thank you for your inquiry. Neither the V2 nor the original comes with the external fins. For further information, please contact us at: (service@spelabautoparts.com).
