Up-pipes and down-pipes – what do they do?
Up-pipe is a piping that connects the exhaust manifold with the turbo. Exhaust gases enter the turbo from the up-pipe. Down-pipe is a piping that connects the turbo with the rest of the exhaust pipe. Exhaust gases leave the turbo from the down-pipe. For those looking to enhance their Duramax's performance, consider our LML delete kit and Duramax delete kit for optimal results.

The up-pipes are high quality pipes and was exact fit for my lml Duramax . And they shipped really fast .
Everything went in and on very smoothly everything fit and as should only thing I will say is does not come with bolts for up pipe and the gaskets are decent but would upgrade to some mahle gaskets and get a set of ppe up pipe bolts other than that very solid affordable set of parts the coating on the up pipe will burn off due to heat but it does not affect performance of part or affect truck at all definitely recommend if your looking for performance parts while trying to save some money it definitely gave my Lly duramax the tone and power I was looking for!
05 LLY Duramax. I soaked bolts for days in a penetration oil, used heat and had a bolt break off in turbo, which made install miserable. I also did mine while transmission was out. This would not be easy with transmission attached, just a FYI. Great product, decent shipping, but not sure what the bolts that came with it are for, because they were not even close to stock up pipe bolts. Had to retain stock mounting hardware!!
Nice finish on them, and they are much bigger than stock, a higher quality exhaust gaskets would set these over the top. Drivers side leave loose until all the bolts are in, the bellows have to flex some. I highly recommend them, they are a nice upgrade. My complaint is the supplied bolts were of no use, the down pipe I also ordered don't fit properly with these up pipes, I did modify and restrict the down pipe a little, (still near as much as stock)
I did reach out to customer service, talking to a human would have been even better, they did refund the down pipe, I would honestly give it another try if they make it more straight. So yes I recommend there products and since have purchased the y bridge kit, and the fuel filter adapter.

I received the exhaust pipe and down pipe with in a week of the order, The packaging held together even with the weight. During assembly I ran into one problem, the bolts supplied do not fit. The down pipe holes were a 1/16 inch smaller than the holes in the exhaust flange. I was going to just drill it out, but I already had the down pipe installed, plus I didn’t own any bits good enough to churn through the meaty stainless flange on the down pipe. I did find some good grade 8 bolts in my parts bin that worked. I did not put the down pipe heat shield back in place as it was even difficult to get out, but I did have some extra exhuast wrap, so I put one more layer on the down pipe and feel confident in that. (2016 dramax, LML)
It works great, the nut that rubbed a while in the up pie was moved from the original place and doesn’t rub anymore

This kit is wonderful, looks great in the engine compartment, and installed very easily. The only concern I have is how close the passenger side up-pipe sits next to the head, a little more clearance would possibly allow less heat transfer to the aluminum head. Great product besides that!

Nice product and fit perfect
Pipe fit was fine and you gaskets were correct, however the supplied bolts were a size smaller than what was needed ( I was able to reuse the old bolts and new gaskets)
Mounting holes in the pipe were slightly larger than they need to be, gave you plenty of room for install however I put washers on the heads of the old bolts ,not a big deal.
Just a case of “you get what you pay for”

The up pipe seems really solid. It fit perfect but the bolts that came with it were the wrong size. I used the factory bolts and it worked well

The pipe was Quality. The hardware sent with the pipe I would not use on my lawnmower. The flanges on the boat heads were nowhere close to the size of the holes and the flanges on the pipe. They were way too small. I can’t believe you would send hardware That doesn’t even fit the product.
