L5P Duramax EGR Valve Cooler Delete Kit Overview
SPELAB carefully designed and manufactured EGR delete kit features a material upgrade, using solid carbon steel instead of the previous aluminum alloy.
This change has increased the maximum temperature resistance from 600 degrees Celsius to 1,500 degrees Celsius, a 2.5-fold increase in high-temperature strength. This unit effectively prevents soot buildup and EGR valve clogging, allowing fresh, dense clean air to circulate instead of reintroducing hot exhaust gases.
Improved exhaust flow enables the turbocharger to start faster, resulting in quicker throttle response. High-quality components include billet aluminum construction, nickel-plated steel flanges, a stainless steel dipstick tube bracket, high-temperature silicone hoses, zinc-plated hardware, and precision-fit O-rings.
This kit mounts to the exhaust port and flows coolant through a rubber hose for better oil resistance.

Good fitment on all items. All block off plates fit good and dont leak. Downpipe fits perfectly. All gaskets included good quality.
Overall, great kit. Wish I would have ordered the can bus plugs at the same time. A few modifications were needed to make everything work but nothing too difficult if you can tackle this type of work to begin with.

Downpipe and block off plate work great the plug they provide doesn’t work. Stuck on the side of the road from that small plug other then that good kit for the money hoses where long enough just didn’t provide with the correct hose clamps had to buy new one at O’Rileys
Great kit. Need a higher quality rubber nipple that covers steel coolant line going to 9th injector. Had to Jerry rig my own otherwise great kit.

The kit was alright but it should come with directions instead of having to search for them everything’s pretty much self explanatory other than running he coolant lines because I’m having an issue here it’s losing coolant somewhere Joe because of the kit

All the EGR block off plates, and great they fit perfectly, the hoses aren't even close to long enough simple fix with 10 ft of 5/8 heater hose and 1/4 fuel line.
Everything I ordered shipped fast and arrived sooner than expected. Build quality is great with everything I purchased. I had one minor issue with a can bus plug but they quickly sent me replacements free of charge and it fixed the issue! I will definitely buy from them again
The rubber cap that goes by turbo does not work. In correct. Needs to be thicker heater hose like material.

We have installed numerous of these kits on almost every L5P year model, including 2024–2025 trucks. These EGR kits are excellent, and I confidently recommend them to my customers. The overall fit, finish, and value are outstanding, with no major complaints.
A few small notes from our installs:
Coolant Hoses – Serviceable but cut to the minimum length. We prefer to use bulk, high-grade coolant line and custom-route it for the cleanest install.
Firewall Coolant Disconnect – We had one failure (minor drip after several thousand miles). Since then, we simply reuse the OEM firewall fitting for extra reliability.
MLS Gaskets – Sometimes hit or miss. On low-mileage trucks, we clean and reuse the OEM gaskets with excellent results.
Overall: This kit is well-engineered, installs exactly as it should, and is priced better than most competing options. With a couple of installer tweaks, it’s hands down the best choice on the market.
