GM Duramax L5P Tuning Kit (2017–2026) covers only the tuning segment of our full L5P delete solution(Your delivered items match your purchase selection). It is engineered for owners who have already installed their EGR delete hardware and exhaust, and only require tuning support. This kit includes all components needed to unlock (where applicable), flash, and run custom SOTF or single-calibration tunes on your L5P, eliminating the hassle of sourcing tuning hardware from multiple vendors.

Important Note

  • 2024-2026 L5P models require E42 service, which is not included in this kit.
  • 2017-2019 trucks use the E41 ECM and are fully compatible with the Unlock Tool process. 2020-2023 Duramax L5P trucks still run E41 hardware with an updated unlock procedure. 2024-2026 trucks use the newer ECM platform and require external unlock service before tuning.
  • Power gain range: varies by tune and supporting mods
  • Operating range: designed for race use; lower EGTs when properly calibrated

Note: 2017-2023 4500/5500 Cab & Chassis models are limited to a 60 HP tune. Contact us before ordering if you have a C&C truck for questions.

We strongly recommend monitoring EGTs when using Levels 4 & 5.

Hi there. I'm currently making modifications to the DPF on my 2020 6.6 L5P. I've already read the map using HP Tuners and have the 8 credits required to write to it; does the tune you sell come with the modifications already prepared and ready to be written?

What tunes come with soft tune and credits? Can I change tunes via steering wheel controls on the fly?

Thank you for your inquiry. SOTF offers five settings: 0, 50, 75, 100 and 150. It cannot be switched using the buttons on the steering wheel; the SOTF harness switch must be used. For further information, please contact us at: (service@spelabautoparts.com).

If you have prior experience with automotive repair, you may be able to install this delete kit yourself. If not, we strongly recommend having it installed by a professional mechanic to ensure safety and proper function.

Does the tuner and unlock kit apply to the 2025 l5p?

If i buy the tuner and sotf package as well as unlock i can do all of it myself at home when deleting my 2025 I wouldn’t have to take it to a shop?
