2003-2007 Ford 6.0 Powerstroke Performance Parts & Upgrades for Sale | SPELAB Guide
If you’re driving a 2003 Ford F250 6.0L Powerstroke, a 2005 Ford Excursion 6.0 Diesel, or a 2006 Ford E-Series Van 6.0 Powerstroke, you probably already know that this engine packs some serious potential. However, the 6.0 Powerstroke is often called a "love it or fix it" engine—and for good reason.
Why Upgrade Your 6.0L Powerstroke?
Compared to later models like the 6.7 Powerstroke or rival platforms like Duramax and Cummins 6.7 engines, the 6.0 Powerstroke came with a few built-in challenges. Common issues include a fragile EGR cooler that’s prone to rupturing, an oil cooler that easily clogs, short head bolts that can lead to blown head gaskets, and notorious high-pressure oil pump (HPOP) failures. These design flaws make critical upgrades a must, whether you’re hauling heavy loads, towing, off-roading, or just daily driving your truck.
Fortunately, with SPELAB’s full range of 6.0 powerstroke for sale parts—like heavy-duty head stud kits, complete EGR delete kits, high-efficiency oil coolers, and cold air intake kits—you can unlock the true potential of your truck. With the right upgrades, your 2004 Ford F350 Super Duty 6.0 Powerstroke won’t just survive—it’ll thrive.
6.0 Powerstroke vs. 6.7 Powerstroke / Duramax / Cummins
Before you start upgrading your 2005 Ford F250 Super Duty 6.0L Diesel or your 2006 Ford F450 Super Duty 6.0 Powerstroke, it’s important to understand how the 6.0 Powerstroke stacks up against other diesel engines like the 6.7 Powerstroke, Duramax, and Cummins 6.7.
The 6.0 Powerstroke is known for its huge tuning potential, but it also has some critical design flaws. Compared to the 6.7 Powerstroke, the 6.0 has weaker EGR and cooling systems and less durable head gaskets. Against the Duramax LLY and LMM, the 6.0’s oil cooler is more prone to clogging, leading to higher engine temps and potential failures. Versus the 6.7 Cummins, the 6.0’s complex layout makes repairs more challenging and costly.
But here’s the good news: because the 6.0 Powerstroke leaves so much room for improvement, it’s a dream platform for diesel enthusiasts. By upgrading with high-performance parts like SPELAB’s 6.0 powerstroke turbo kits and 6.0 powerstroke oil cooler replacements, you can make your 2004 Ford Excursion 6.0L Powerstroke perform better—and more reliably—than many stock 6.7L trucks.
If you’re serious about turning your 2005 Ford F350 6.0 Diesel into a towing powerhouse, investing in a 6.0 powerstroke tuner and a 6.0 powerstroke exhaust upgrade from SPELAB will deliver the kind of performance and reliability you need.

Top-Selling 6.0 Powerstroke Upgrades
Not sure where to start upgrading your 2005 Ford F250 6.0L Powerstroke or 2004 Ford Excursion 6.0L Diesel? As a diesel tech who’s worked on hundreds of 6.0 builds, here are the four upgrade combos I recommend the most—for power, cooling, reliability, and budget.
Power Build – Cold Air Intake + Tuner
For instant performance gains, pairing a 6.0 powerstroke tuner with a cold air intake kit is the move. You'll see faster throttle response, better fuel mapping, and an overall horsepower bump—especially on tuned 2006 Ford F350 Super Duty 6.0L trucks. This is the perfect setup for anyone towing heavy loads or just looking to wake up a sluggish daily driver.
Cooling Combo – Degas Bottle + High-Flow Radiator
Overheating is one of the 6.0L’s biggest enemies. Upgrading to a heavy-duty coolant reservoir and a high-capacity aluminum radiator keeps engine temps in check—crucial for vehicles like the 2005 Ford E-Series Van 6.0 Powerstroke in fleet use or camper conversions.
Reliability Package – EGR Delete Kit + Head Stud Kit
If you’re building a bulletproof 2003 Ford F350 6.0L Diesel, this combo is a no-brainer. The EGR delete eliminates a major failure point, while upgraded head studs prevent blown gaskets under high boost. It’s the foundation of any serious long-term build.
Budget Boost – Muffler Delete Pipe
Want to add sound and flow without draining your wallet? A 6.0 powerstroke exhaust muffler delete is a quick, affordable mod that reduces backpressure and gives your truck that deep diesel rumble. Perfect for Ford F250 6.0L owners just getting into performance upgrades.
Whatever your goal—more power, better cooling, or bulletproof reliability—these SPELAB kits are battle-tested and customer-approved.
What Can You Expect After Upgrading Your 6.0L Powerstroke?
So, what actually changes after installing SPELAB’s 6.0 Powerstroke upgrades on your 2005 Ford F350 6.0L Diesel or your 2004 Ford E-Series Van 6.0 Powerstroke?
Here’s what you can expect in the real world—based on customer installs, dyno results, and hundreds of shop builds we've worked on:
Improved Reliability
Say goodbye to blown gaskets, coolant loss, and mystery check-engine lights. With a proper EGR delete and head stud kit, your engine becomes much more durable—especially under boost. This is a must-have upgrade for heavy-duty builds like the 2006 Ford F250 Super Duty 6.0L used for towing RVs or equipment trailers.
Lower Operating Temps
Upgraded oil coolers, degas bottles, and aluminum radiators help regulate engine temperature even in extreme conditions. Fleet vans like the 2005 Ford E-350 6.0 Powerstroke or lifted 2004 Ford Excursion 6.0L Diesel swaps benefit greatly from this added cooling capacity.
More Power and Better Response
Adding a cold air intake and 6.0 powerstroke tuner increases airflow and optimizes fuel delivery. You’ll feel it immediately—quicker throttle response, smoother acceleration, and increased low-end torque. Perfect for daily driving or off-roading in your tuned 2003 Ford Ranger with a 6.0L swap.
Stronger Towing Performance
After upgrading your 6.0 powerstroke exhaust system, including up-pipes and a muffler delete, your turbo spools faster and exhaust temps drop. That means more pulling power and less stress when climbing grades or towing heavy loads.
Fewer Breakdowns, Longer Lifespan
By eliminating known weak points—like the OEM oil cooler, EGR system, and head bolts—you’re essentially future-proofing your engine. Whether it’s a workhorse 2005 Ford F250 6.0 Powerstroke or a custom camper van, these upgrades reduce wear and extend life.
In short, upgrading your 6.0L Powerstroke isn’t just about making it faster—it’s about making it stronger, cooler, and ready for anything.

This 5” downpipe back kit fit absolutely perfect. Could not ask for a better fit and finish of this kit. All the hangers are in the correct location and the clamps supplied are of quality!

Installation was a breeze!

I bought this kit for my 2019 Ford F350, the same kit I bought for my 2014 F250 almost 5 years ago. The first kit I had significantly boosted my power to pull my 5th wheel up I-17.
While I haven’t pulled anything big yet with my F350 I can already feel the difference in power and performance.
VERY happy with my purchase and…no more DEF (garbage!).

Great replacement cover! Looks great and was easy to install and makes it much easier and cleaner to change my differential gear oil!

Easy and straightforward install and works perfectly

As advertised works and looks great

Good stuff, love the kit. Installed it all myself under 6 hours. Now I need to find a way to keep the minimax from getting unplugged when I hit a bump

Intake horn is real nice, block off plate is real nice, gaskets are decent. I removed first 3 fuel lines and the cp3 line and had mine done in about 4hr by myself start to finish. 2012 Cummins. No cel, no issues. Took away a lot of the black smoking. Increased boost noticeably. Five stars.

Good fit, sounds awesome, definitely made a difference, hose clamps could be a little better, holes was off a little for the sensors, but for the price overall good product!

They have great customer service what I order was much better than what I was expecting to receive thank you for guys for everything

This was a very easy install, the parts seems to be good quality.

Great products, the updates and revisions to there parts show they care about making things better. 100% would buy all my parts from Spelab.

Directions were not good and there isn’t a heater bolt yet..but the product is great and you can’t beat the price. Happy with the product.

This is a good upgrade. I change the rear differential fluid frequently so now I will be able to drain and refill more easily. Easy install. No leaking. Hardware and gasket included. Very happy

I was impressed with the build quality. And very happy with the cover features: fill plug, drain plug, sight glass, nice paint, cooling fins and machined channels on the inside to direct fluid flow. I also put in some AMSOIL diff fluid. A winning combo. Love that gasket and premium hardware is included. A much better deal than the Banks cover. This cover will cool plenty abd direct fluids where it needs to go. I’m happy with my investment and highly recommend.
