Benefits

Expect to see a significant increase in fuel mileage. If your DPF is plugged up your probably averaging about 13-14 mpg. More or less depending on the severity of the restriction. After deleting the DPF/CAT expect to get a combined mileage of 18-19 mpg.

  • It removes the need to service the DPF at regular intervals (cleaning, replacement)
  • A DPF delete will remove the possibility of a DPF failure which could cause expensive diesel repairs
  • Due to less exhaust backpressure, the DPF delete increases exhaust flow and therefore increases the performance of your motor!
  • Paired with an ECU remap, the DPF delete is proven to increase power and torque for all vehicles

Installation

Install takes about 1hr with basic hand tools done on the ground of your driveway or garage. Quicker if you have automotive style lift. Cutting may be be required to fit shorter wheelbase bed/cab configurations. Clamps, hangers and hardware are included. You may have to re-use some factory hardware.
Tuner Required: Removal of the DPF, CAT, SCR, and/or DOC involves removing and eliminating emission related sensors. A DPF delete capable tuner is required to prevent any check engine light or diagnostic trouble codes from setting.

Good enough.

The first hangar didn't line up with the rubber mount and that's the only one you can't cut to adjust. Was able to cut a center pipe to get the rest of the hangars to align. Overall good for the price and I was able to get the hangar in the mount but not in the actual hole itself.

Just got it back from shop end of this week, runs awsum no codes 60hp tune exhaust sounds good also got a medium rune in transmission. Love it thanks for great price Spelab and quality parts !

Exhaust has to be cut to fit, which is unhandy. Otherwise good product

kit was easy to put together and clamps are a nice quality. had some damage in shipping but all was there. Does have a drone between 1500-2000 rpms but its livable and much quieter than expected.

I've got a current DEF Quality failure on my 2017 Colorado 2.8L Duramax and am in Limp Mode (4mph). Tell me more about the Tuner required to delete the DEF system please.

If I buy this kit - SKU: SPES08681S3.0-OS08840SR ($619.88) where do I get my truck tuned after the installation? Are there plugs or covers for the cabling that is disconnected and left on/in my truck?

Why is there 2 different EGR delete kits for 2016 Duramax 2.8L ,and how can I determine which one I need?

If your model year is in the first half of 2016, then choose 15-16, if it is in the second half of 2016, then choose 16-22.
