- Connect the OBD2 connector on the cable to your vehicle’s OBD2 port.
- Enable Location Services and Bluetooth on your iOS or Android device to establish communication with the Iron Loader.
- Allow the unit to power up; you will know it is ready once the LED indicator illuminates and turns BLUE.

- Complete the Bluetooth pairing between your phone and the Iron Loader through the application; you may need to open your phone’s Bluetooth settings to finish this connection.
- You will also need an active Wi‑Fi connection during this workflow to successfully tune your vehicle.
- Once the Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi connections are active, the device will begin an automatic software and firmware update. Do not disconnect power until this update finishes.
Step 3: Reading Stock File
- Keep your phone connected to the Iron Loader V2 over both Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi.
Launch the PowerGate application. - Follow the on‑app prompts to start reading the original stock file from your vehicle’s ECU.
- Set your vehicle’s ignition to the “ON” position (engine off) for the entire reading process.
- Make sure virtual reading is selected during the ECU‑communication phase.
- Allow several minutes for the app to finish the read‑out process.
- When reading completes, the app will prompt you to save the stock file. Save the file locally to your phone by following the screen instructions.
Step 4: Uploading and Downloading the Custom Tune
You are now ready to submit your stock file and retrieve your finished custom tune:
- Right after saving your stock file, the PowerGate app will automatically prompt you to upload it to our tuning server.
- Maintain a reliable internet connection while the file uploads.
- Once the upload succeeds, you will receive an in‑app notification when your custom tune is available.
- Download the completed custom tune file to your phone through the PowerGate app.
Your custom tune file is now ready to flash onto your vehicle!
Step 5: Writing the New Tune to Your Vehicle

- Reconnect the OBD2 cable between the Iron Loader V2 and your vehicle’s OBD2 port, exactly as you did in Step 2.
- Confirm the device powers on and its LED light shows blue.
- Open the PowerGate app and verify the unit remains connected over Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi.
- The app may ask you to redo Step 2: Connecting the Iron Loader V2 to Your Vehicle. If prompted, revisit the connection instructions above.
- Tap the write button inside the application.
- Select the custom tune file you previously downloaded from the app file list.
- Follow the on‑screen prompts to write your new tune to the vehicle ECU. Keep the ignition switched to “ON” (engine off) throughout the flashing procedure.
