Powerstroke CCV Reroute/Delete Kit FAQs

No. SPELAB's CCV reroute kits are designed to work seamlessly with your factory ECU. You will not need custom tuning, and it will not throw a Check Engine Light (CEL) when installed correctly.

It depends on how you use your Powerstroke truck. If you regularly tow heavy loads, live in a hot climate, or have a high-mileage engine, we highly recommend the Internal + External Catch Can Combo to trap excess oil mist. For standard daily driving, the basic reroute or internal catch can is usually sufficient.

We recommend checking and draining the external catch can every 3,000 to 5,000 miles—typically during your regular oil change intervals. In colder climates or during heavy towing seasons, condensation builds up faster, so you may need to check it more frequently.

Bypassing or removing factory emissions equipment, including the CCV system, is strictly intended for off-road or race use. Depending on your local and state laws, a deleted Powerstroketruck may not pass emissions testing. Furthermore, modifying emissions components can potentially affect your manufacturer's warranty. Always check your local regulations before installing.

A CCV reroute kit redirects crankcase vapors away from the factory intake path to help reduce oil mist entering the turbo inlet, intercooler piping, and intake system. For 6.7L Powerstroke owners, it is mainly a preventive maintenance upgrade designed to keep the intake system cleaner over time, especially on towing, high-mileage, or modified trucks.

SPELAB 6.7L Powerstroke CCV reroute kits are designed for Ford Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L Powerstroke diesel engine, including F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 applications from 2011 through 2025. Always confirm your exact model year and configuration before ordering.

A SPELAB CCV reroute/delete kit typically includes a CNC-machined billet block-off plate, silicone or braided hoses, clamps, mounting hardware, catch can components if selected, and installation instructions. Kit contents may vary depending on whether you choose a basic reroute, internal catch can, external catch can, or combo setup

Yes. SPELAB CCV reroute kits are designed as bolt-on upgrades with no cutting, welding, or drilling required in most applications. Installation can usually be completed with basic hand tools, but proper hose routing, clamp tightening, and sensor connection checks are important to avoid leaks or check-engine-light issues.
